Mobile Guide

Most CRM features are fully functional on mobile devices through the Salesforce mobile app. Here's what to expect.

General Mobile Differences

  • Tables become cards - Instead of wide tables, data displays as stacked cards
  • Modals go full-screen - Popup modals expand to fill the screen
  • Tap instead of click - All interactions are touch-friendly
  • Subject fields are dropdowns - On desktop you can type custom subjects; on mobile you select from predefined options

Sales Home Page

The mobile home page shows the same components in a single-column layout:

  • Open tasks (card view)
  • Clients
  • Reports

Task Management (Mobile)

Task List

Screenshot needed: Task List on mobile showing card-based layout with overdue (red) and due-today (yellow) cards

  • Tasks display as cards showing: Subject, Related To, Due Date, Complete button
  • Overdue cards have a red border
  • Due-today cards have a yellow border
  • Tap a card to open task details in a modal
  • Tap the circle to mark complete

Activity Composer

  • Same five tabs: Task, Log Call, Email, Event, Note
  • Subject field is a standard dropdown (no typing custom values)
  • Email tab: Opens your native email app (Mail, Gmail, etc.) with the recipient pre-filled
  • Event tab: Opens the standard Salesforce event form

Activity Timeline

  • Same card-based layout as desktop
  • Tap task circle icons to toggle complete
  • Tap any card to open the detail modal
  • Follow-up prompt works the same way

Lead & Client Records (Mobile)

Record pages adapt to single-column layout:

  • Sidebar fields collapse into expandable sections
  • Tabs remain for switching between Activities, Fees, Documents, etc.
  • All custom components (Appraisal Meeting, Fee Wizard, etc.) are mobile-optimised

Pipeline Trackers (Mobile)

Lead Tracker

Each lead displays as a card showing:

  • Name and Status badge
  • Owner/Sitter initials with outcome badge
  • Notes and Budget
  • Note action button

Client Tracker

Screenshot needed: Client Tracker on mobile showing card-based layout with dates, initials, and financial summary

Each opportunity displays as a card showing:

  • Client name and status
  • Generated/Managed team member initials
  • Property purchased (if applicable)
  • Key dates as compact chips (Intro, Met, Signed, Bought)
  • Financial summary (Budget, Price, Fee)
  • Tap to open the Client record

Documents (Mobile)

  • Document cards display in a single column
  • All actions available (Edit, View, Send, Clone, etc.)
  • Send Email opens your native email app instead of the Salesforce composer
  • Email content is converted from HTML to plain text for compatibility

Brochures (Mobile)

  • Tracking links display as cards instead of table rows
  • Each card shows: Brochure name, Created date, Email sent date
  • Action buttons: Copy, Send, Analytics
  • Analytics chart displays normally
  • Viewing sessions display as cards

Commission Calculator (Mobile)

  • Tables convert to card-based layouts
  • Each split/expense becomes a separate card
  • Same fields, vertically stacked
  • All four tabs work the same way
  • Approval workflow functions identically

Tips for Mobile Use

  1. Use the Salesforce mobile app rather than the browser for the best experience
  2. Phone numbers are clickable - Tap to call directly from task details
  3. SMS links appear next to mobile numbers (starting with +614 or 04)
  4. Pull down to refresh on most pages
  5. The email tab uses your phone's native email - make sure your email app is configured
  6. Landscape mode can help with trackers and wider components
